JAKARTA (Reuters) – Indonesian group Lion Air plans to meet Boeing Co (PROHIBIT) November 30, to consider the airline's orders for Boeing 737 MAX series aircraft until 2035, said Thursday the director of safety and security of Lion Air, Daniel Putut.
Lion Air, one of Boeing's largest customers worldwide, announced in April a firm order for the purchase of 50 Boeing 737 MAX 10s at a list price of $ 6.24 billion. Its total order portfolio concerns 261 MAX Series aircraft from here to 2035, Putut told the press.
The Indonesian Transport and Security Committee is expected to announce next week the preliminary results of an investigation into the crash of Lion Air's Boeing 737 MAX, which struck the sea on October 29, just minutes after take-off, killing all 189 aircraft. passengers on board.
