PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) – Three people were injured, one seriously when part of a building collapsed in Pawtucket.

Emergency crews were called around 9:45 am at an old mill on the corner of Esten Street and Warren Avenue.

Wil Arboleda, a spokesman for the city, told Eyewitness News that the building was currently undergoing rehabilitation to become 140 units.

He said that it appears that one of the stairwells inside the building has collapsed from the second floor.

Three construction workers in this area of ​​the building were injured. Arboleda said that one of them was in critical condition and that the other two appeared to have suffered minor injuries.
