Apple has had a few busy months.
The US tech company released its flagship iPhone last month and its cheaper XR is about to come out in stores.
This smartphone includes a full screen, a fast processor and an improved camera at a price of £ 200 less than that of his brother X.
So, if you think this phone is for you, here are five things to know before you put it on sale later this week.
What are the best features of the iPhone XR?
The iPhone XR offers an all-screen design that looks a lot like the flagship XS.
However, to reduce costs, Apple has dropped the OLED panel of the XS more expensive for an LCD.
But do not think it means a bad viewing experience.
Apple says that his 6.1 inches The Liquid Retina display is the industry's most accurate display, with extensive color support and a true tone for a more natural visual experience.
Alongside this big screen, Apple has placed the new A12 Bionic processor under its glass and metal case.
It's the fastest processor ever created by the American technology company. It is also much more efficient, which means an extended battery life.
Speaking of batteries, the XR can be wirelessly charged via a standard Qi docking station.
The screen covering all the front of the phone, there is no Touch ID home button, users now opening the XR with their face.
The facial identity is faster and more secure thanks to the TrueDepth camera system facing the front, using precision depth detection technology to unlock the iPhone.
No double camera but do not panic for your photos.
Unlike X and Xs Max, more expensive, there is no dual lens optical sensor on the XR.
Instead, this camera comes with a unique 12-megapixel f / 1.8 aperture wide-angle lens and a brand new sensor that, according to Apple, provides faster autofocus, while larger and deeper pixels improve image fidelity and low-light performance on photos and videos.
Without this dual camera, you may think that this phone will not be able to produce breathtaking images with depth of field.
However, there is intelligent software and algorithms on the XR that allow portraits with this primordial bokeh effect.
Smart HDR also brings better highlights and shadows to images shot on the camera.
In addition, the new depth control allows users to adjust the depth of field both in real-time preview and even after shooting.
Selfies also benefit from enhanced portrait mode on the front-facing TrueDepth camera and portrait mode lighting to achieve dramatic studio light effects.
So when can you get this new iPhone?
Apple announces that the iPhone XR will be available for pre-order starting this Friday, October 19th.
Once your order is placed, the XR will be available to be collected in store Friday, October 26th.
How much does it cost?
You have the choice of three options with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage, all available at launch.
Prices start at £ 749 for the 64GB model and go up to £ 899 for the fully loaded 256GB version.
Contract prices are not yet known, but expect all major mobile operators to announce news on their offers in the coming days.
What colors can you buy?
The iPhone XR is available in six new finishes: white, black, blue, yellow, coral and (PRODUCT) RED.
According to Apple, a seven-layer color process gives the glass beautiful nuanced shades, while the aluminum strip and camera trim are matched to give a sophisticated finish.
It should be noted that the phone is made of glass and it is therefore recommended to use a case that retains its fresh appearance.
