GENEVA (Reuters) – Iran does not have to fear new US sanctions, which will come into effect in the coming days, said Wednesday the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

The United States plans to impose sanctions on the Iranian oil sector on November 4.

"November 4 this year means a new injustice on the part of Americans," said Rouhani, quoted by the news agency "Islamic Republic of Iran".

"But people should know for sure that the government is not afraid of American threats."
