Olivia Colman is in queen mode.
Best known for his roles in "Broadchurch" and "The Night Manager", two BBC America TV's favorite channels, Colman recently took the reins of royalty to play two different queens.
First, she plays Queen Anne in the new historical comedy "The Favorite", which will be released in theaters on Friday. The film, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, tells the chaos of the reign of an unhealthy Queen Anne.
"I did not know anything about her since my history at school, which is awful because she's amazing," Colman told ABC News.
"She had gout – she was a very fat woman, kind of lame, so she could not move," Colman continued. "She ate a lot, probably depression, and she also had eye disease and she was sick for most of her life."
Colman plays alongside Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz. She said it was a pleasure to work with the two winners of an Oscar.
"I know people often say that they'll be friends for life, I'm not sure it's always true, but I think we'll really do it," said Colman in an appearance in "Popcorn with Peter Travers ". "We had already repeated, we really got to know each other and to be embarrassed one in front of the other."

Colman will also assume the role of Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix's royal biopic "The Crown" when returning the series next year. She takes on the role of Claire Foy to account for the years passed in the life of the queen. Colman said that she reached out to Foy to get the scoop on the role.
"I phoned Claire, I wanted to do it because I loved the program so much." She said, "Everyone is adorable. It's a very happy job. You'll have a good time, "said Colman." So that's all you need, really. "
"The Favorite" is everywhere in the theaters.
