When you think of John Rambo, Sylvester Stallone's famous and iconic Vietnam war veterinarian, what image comes to your mind? Chances are he's a long-haired Rambo, shirtless and diced, wearing a bandanna and brandishing a bow and arrow, a big knife or even bigger rifle. An image you probably do not think about when you think of Rambo is that of a cowboy, and yet that's exactly what Sylvester Stallone looks like. Rambo 5 is ready to start filming. If you did not know that Sylvester Stallone was filming Rambo 5, one would have to think it was a completely different film look, like a neo-western in the vein of There is no country for old people or Against all odds. Yet this Instagram image of Sylvester Stallone apparently shows the actor as he might look at it when he resumes his role of John Rambo in Rambo 5. Apparently, the long hair, the tank top and the bandana are gone, and in their place is a cowboy, equipped with riding caps and the required cowboy hat. In simple terms, it does not look like Rambo.
This outfit is not just for the show either. It seems that Sylvester Stallone is riding in the role of Rambo for the new film. Check out Sylvester Stallone's post in the whole movie below:
Although these images are not an official confirmation of Rambo's transformation into a cowboy, Sylvester Stallone really teases fans with the concept. And if you remember the end of the last movie in the series, 2008 Rambo, this new look really follows. This film ends when John Rambo returns to the United States and goes to Arizona to visit his father. In this end scene, we see that the Rambo farm is a ranch with horses. So, if the new movie follows this story, it makes sense that in the absence of more wars, Rambo probably settled in this rural house and helped manage the ranch. Like Sylvester Stallone himself, Rambo has aged and the character's look has changed with age and with occupation. He is no longer a guerrilla fighter; he is just an older guy who lives a simple life. Or do your best.
Wars always find Rambo and there are always people who need to be saved. Rambo 5 go find the vet taking a Mexican cartel. So he will probably be busy with his own business on the Arizona ranch when the violence spreads across the border and he will find himself once again taking things in hand. We have seen Rambo fight around the world. This new look and new frame should give this movie a different look and feel. The character and the franchise have the opportunity to evolve, and if Rambo 5 If the western western modern is represented on these images, it will be a pioneering work.
