In Massachusetts, flash flood monitoring will be in effect until 4 pm for Barnstable, Bristol, Essex, Hampden, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk and Worcester County. Friday.

"An area of ​​moderate to locally high rainfall is expected to fall south of New England this morning, heading east before leaving the area later this afternoon," the meteorological service said. "This system will likely produce very localized totals in which sites under a heavy group might see 1-3" while others see less than an inch. "

The Boston area is expected to reach about half an inch to an inch of rain. According to forecasters, the highest totals are likely to be in northern Connecticut, Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.

It will be cloudy Friday night, then will become partly cloudy. According to forecasters, areas of fog will probably develop from Saturday to Saturday, especially along the coast, and temperatures will drop in the 40s and 50s.
