EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Ereck Flowers' once-promising career with the Giants ended when the former first round pick and starting tackler were placed on waivers.
Brian Mihalik was excluded from the training team to replace Flowers in training.
The Giants, who host the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, also hired kicker Marshall Koehn in their training squad.
Flowers, the 6-6 and 329-pound weight taken with the ninth overall selection in 2015, was transferred to the left tackle after Will Beatty tore a pectoral muscle on May 19.
