Etta Ng, the teenage daughter separated from movie star Jackie Chan, announced that she had married his 31-year-old Canadian girlfriend.
The happy couple shared a photo of Ms. Ng, 19, and social media personality, Andi Autumn, with their apparent marriage certificate, dated November 8th.
According to media reports, both spouses registered their marriage in Canada and are now in Hong Kong, his hometown.
The news was celebrated online and put on the Chinese platform Weibo.
Ms. Ng is the only child of the Chan martial arts star with actress and former beauty queen Elaine Ng Yi Lei as a result of an affair that the couple had had in 1999.
His mother raised him, but local media hinted that their relationship was tense in recent years.
"We have all been hurt, but if you can dream of love, you can find it," the couple wrote in his caption. "Love is nice, it does not judge.Love is both strength and weakness.Love can make a difference.Love wins!"
Ms. Ng and Ms. Autumn reportedly began dating in late 2017 and Ms. Ng arrived in Canada shortly thereafter.
In April, the couple made a public call for help on YouTube, claiming that he was homeless for a month "due to homophobic parents".
This was disputed by Ms. Ng's mother, who told the Asian news site Coconuts that the couple "should look for work" and not rely on the fame of Ms. Ng's father to get money.
Gay Star News reported that Jackie Chan had stated that he was fine with the sexuality of his daughter, but according to media reports, he would never have a relationship with her.
In 2015, Chan told the BBC of his shame and shock following the announcement that his eldest son, Jaycee Chan, had been jailed for six months in China for drug-related offenses.
