Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith maintain one of Hollywood's most enduring relationships, but to hear them, the day of their wedding was "horrible".

In the latest episode of Jada's Facebook Watch talk show, "Red Table Talk", the couple expresses on the ups and downs of his nearly 21-year marriage – with Jada's mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, and her daughter, Willow Smith. , 17, sitting in.

Jada revealed that she was not ready to marry Will, but felt compelled to do so because she was three months pregnant with their son, Jaden, who is now 20 years old.

"I was so upset that I had to have a wedding, I was so pissed off … I went crying in the amazing alley marrying me," she recalls.

"It was a mess," Banfield-Norris remembered. "Jada was sick, she was very uncomfortable."

Of course, going to the altar was not an easy task for the couple.

Although Will felt a "magical" energy the first time he saw Jada in an episode of "A different world", fate separated them for a while. Will actually attended the recording of the show to meet Jada, but the star of the "New Prince of Bel-Air" ended up taking it to another woman – her future premiere wife, Sheree Zampino.

When Will and Jada finally met, their bonds were undeniable, but at that time, Will was a married man with a young son, Trey, now 25 years old.

The star of "Men In Black" recalls having burst into tears one night in the bathroom of a restaurant thinking of Jada. "I knew that she was the woman I was supposed to be with," he said. But he strongly opposed the divorce.

Zampino later blinded Will by asking for a divorce herself, which allowed her to begin a romantic relationship with the woman he was looking for.

Throughout their marriage, the couple had a hard time, especially when Jada turned 40 and struggled to keep the "perfect" character that Will asked. "I can not do that anymore," she remembered then.

Will, who grew up watching his father hitting his mother, said that he realized that his thirst for a perfect family home was inciting Jada to "sacrifice" his own happiness.

"Jada is an actress, but she had two babies. She had to be home to raise her babies while I had to do everything I wanted to do. She sacrificed herself to match my picture, "he explained.
