Jacksonville Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said he has not watched a Super Bowl for several decades because he is "generally so pissed off" and "can not stand it" when his team is not one of the last to play.
"I do not watch," Marrone told reporters during a conference call on Wednesday. "I do not know why everybody does not believe that, when you want to go there, and you're not there, I do not want to spend the whole season in my head, and not be there."
The Jaguars host the New England Patriots on Sunday in a rematch of last year's AFC championship game.

But Marrone is so much against watching the Super Bowl that he did not even use the Super Bowl LII's game strip of the Patriots' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles to get ready for this week.
"I think our defensive and offensive coaches have visibly observed it," said Marrone.
Marrone, 54, said the last Super Bowl that he could have observed would have been in the late 1970s.
"Probably when I was not a coach and I had the right to play," joked Marrone. "Probably when I was 12 years old."
