The right place Actress Jameela Jamil is fed up with celebrities hawking detox teas on Instagram, tweeting on Saturday that she hopes they "quibble in public".
"I hope all these celebrities are shitting in public, as do the poor women who buy this nonsense on their recommendation," Jamil wrote.
"It's not that they actually take this shit. They just flog it because they need MORE MONEY," she continued.
Jamil notably called the rapper Cardi B, who posted Friday a sponsored Instagram for a brand of tea detox.
Cardi claimed that tea – which has a laxative effect – helped her lose weight after giving birth to her daughter Kulture four months earlier.
Instead, Jamil noted that there were much better ways to lose weight, especially by eating lots of green leafy vegetables.
"You need fiber! It's not something that, honestly, makes you have diarrhea the day you take it and constipates you in the long run …," Jamil wrote.
BuzzFeed News has contacted Cardi B for a comment.
A Jamil representative declined to add anything to his tweets.
The Kardashian sisters, with a stack of lesser-known influencers on Instagram, regularly try to sell detox-style teas.
Khloe Kardashian also spent Thanksgiving week pushing a tea that claims to give people a flatter stomach, although there is no scientific proof that it works.
These are not the first celebrities called by Jamil who push these appetite suppressants to young women in sponsored messages on social media.
Kim Kardashian West angered her fans when she published in May an ad on a lollipop lollipop.
"You have a terrible and toxic influence on young girls," Jamil said of Kardashian West at the time.
On Saturday, Jamil told anyone who wanted to be healthier to see a doctor, rather than imitating what he saw online.
"Generally, just never take the diet advice of women who know nothing about nutrition / advertising ethics," she writes. "If you want to improve your health, talk to a trainer / doctor."
