Jameis Winston, Uber Tampa Bay Buccaneers' quarterback, reportedly took a chance in March 2016 to begin a federal court case detailing the incident that led the NFL to suspend Winston for the first three games of the season. the season.

According to the lawsuit filed in the United States District Court in Arizona, the driver's lawyers said that Winston – sitting in the passenger seat – placed his fingers between his legs and leaned them against his yoga pants. in the passage of a fast food restaurant in the early hours of March 13, 2016.

"What's going on with that?" Asked the driver who led Winston to withdraw his hand, according to the complaint.

The driver, identified as Kate P. in the lawsuit, seeks punitive damages for the alleged sexual assault and a lawsuit to determine "past, present and future emotional pain and suffering and past and future economic losses to be determined by the jury. "Winston is the only accused listed in the eight-page trial obtained by USA TODAY Sports.

Winston first denied the allegation when it was revealed last year, but when the NFL announced the ban in June, he apologized to the driver for "the position in which you place yourself ". for having "touched the driver in an inappropriate and sexual way without his consent".

The league also said at the conclusion of the investigation that she felt that the story of the driver of the incident was "consistent and credible".

The driver took Winston to a club in Scottsdale, Arizona and, according to the lawsuit, one of Winston's friends commented, "She's hot. You should sit in the front seat, Jameis. "While Winston had initially stated that others were in the car with him, the driver alleges that Winston was the only passenger.

Shortly after Winston entered the car to get to his hotel, the lawsuit alleged that he "had become bellicose with male pedestrians who were near the same club – cruel and swearing obscenities and racial epithets by the window."

Winston then said, "I want a burrito." The lawsuit alleges that the assault occurred while they were waiting for food.

The driver texted his boyfriend: "I have just been molested by the QB Tampa Bay Buc" and added that she was "very shaken" by the incident, according to the trial.

"They talked by SMS about what to do and whether they would go to the police to give anything because of his previous investigation into the rape in Florida that did not result in charges," says the trial.

While he was a student at Florida State, Winston was charged with sexual assault, but prosecutors refused to file a complaint. Winston settled a federal lawsuit with his accuser in 2016.

The driver contacted Uber the next day to report the incident. Uber conducted his own investigation, which led him to ban Winston from service for life.
