LOS ANGELES – LeBron James scored 26 points and qualified for the winning basket in the final seconds, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 107-106 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday night.
Kyle Kuzma added 18 points for the fifth win in six Lakers.
Kuzma's lay-up tied the match at 104-all with 1:34 to go.
Kent Bazemore was called for a technique at the end of the game and Kuzma made the free throw for a 105-104 lead.
Vince Carter dived to bring the Hawks back to 106-105.
James was the victim of a foul on the other end and missed both. But the Lakers got the offensive rebound and Kuzma got his hands on the pitch among three defenders for a shot on the left. It's missed.
James was waiting right, attempting a lead of 107-106.
Taurean Prince led the Hawks with 23 points, Bazemore added 21 and Trae Young had 20 points for Atlanta, who still has one win on the road this season.
ROCKETS 115, PACERS 103
HOUSTON – James Harden scored 40 points, a high in the season, and Chris Paul added 26 to help the Rockets win their first home win of the season.
Clint Capela had 18 points and seven rebounds for the Rockets, who had lost the last two games of a five-game road trip against their first four home games.
Houston advanced 10 points four minutes from the end of the match, but Harden made two free throws to strengthen the gap. The Pacers put about 8 seconds on a basket of Cory Joseph with about 90 seconds to go, but Paul did a layering a few seconds later to put the game out of reach.
Victor Oladipo had 22 for the Pacers, who have lost three of their last four games. Bojan Bogdanovic added 20 points and six assists, while Darren Collison had 13.
HORNETS 113, PISTONS 103
DETROIT – Tony Parker scored 24 points, Kemba Walker 24 points and seven assists in Charlotte's win.
Cody Zeller added 14 points to help Charlotte win her third victory in four games.
Andre Drummond scored 23 points and 22 rebounds for the Pistons, and Reggie Bullock had a career-high 23 points, scoring six three-point shots. Detroit lost six of its eight goals after a 4-0 start.
Blake Griffin of Detroit was blatantly fouled and was sent off in 7:06 to allow Malik Monk to check his shoulder.
MAGIC 115, KNICKS 89
NEW YORK – Terrence Ross scored 22 points, Nikola Vucevic, 21 points and 14 rebounds, and Orlando earned his second straight victory for the fourth time in five games.
Originally from Harlem, Mo Bamba played his first NBA game at Madison Square Garden and had 15 points and eight rebounds. Evan Fournier added 12 points for the Magic.
The Magic has managed a total of 17 attempts in three attempts with a record of 17 attempts.
Enes Kanter scored his fifth straight double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds, and Kevin Knox had 17 points for the Knicks, who lost twice in a row and four out of five.
BUCKS 121, NUGGETS 114
DENVER – Brook Lopez scored eight points with three points and 28 points at the top of his career, allowing the Milwaukee Bucks to make an eight-game skid in Denver.
The Bucks' five starters scored two digits and four of them scored at least 20 points in Milwaukee's first win at the Pepsi Center since 2010.
Giannis Antetokounmpo had 22 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Khris Middleton had 21 points and Malcom Brogdon added 20 points.
Paul Milsap led the Nuggets with 25 points and Nikola Jokic added 20. Denver lost three times in a row.
TRAIL BLAZERS 100, CELTICS 94
PORTLAND, Ore. – Damian Lillard had 19 points and 12 assists and Portland won his fourth straight game.
Jusuf Nurkic added 18 points and 17 rebounds for Portland. The Trail Blazers have won seven of their last eight games.
Jayson Tatum tied his career record in the regular season with 27 points and Kyrie Irving added 21 for the Celtics. They finished 1-4 on their trip.
The Blazers led up to 21 points in the game.
