Jared Hensley, former high school student at Soddy-Daisy, took leave after saying that the girls had ruined everything

A sports director at the Tennessee High School was put on administrative leave after saying that the girls were "spoiling everything" in a video directed at students.

Jared Hensley, deputy director and sports director of Soddy-Daisy High School, near Chattanooga, announced Wednesday morning that shorts would be banned.

Hensley said the boys would be unhappy with the rule, but that he "had" to do it.

"And if you want to blame someone, blame the girls because they ruin almost everything," continued Hensley. "They're messing up the dress code, well, ask Adam, look at Eve, it's really all you have to do, you can go back to the beginning of time.

"So, it'll be like this for the rest of your life, let us know, shut up, suck and respect the rules."

The video was posted to YouTube and removed, but the Chattanooga Times Free Press downloaded it, prompting a quick and acute reaction to Hensley on social media.

On Wednesday afternoon, Hamilton County Superintendent Bryan Johnson issued a statement condemning Hensley's comments and announcing that the AD had been put on leave.

"We looked at the video content," Johnson said, according to the Free Press. "We find the comments on young women in this video inexcusable because the feelings expressed do not match the values ​​of the Hamilton County Schools.The situation is under investigation and this employee was put on administrative leave immediately."
