Jason Hairston Dead – The former San Francisco 49ers player dies due to a 47-year-old suicide

Jason Hairston died at the age of 47 years.

The cause of his death is suicide, confirmed Wednesday, September 5, his outdoor sports company KUIU.

"We are incredibly saddened to report that Jason Hairston, the visionary leader and founder of KUIU, was found dead at his home in Dixon, California on September 4, 2018. He committed suicide. He is survived by his wife Kirstyn and 2 children, "they wrote on their official website.

Jason He was the UC Davis football linebacker in 1993 and was hired as a free agent at the San Francisco 49ers in 1995. He was traded to the Denver Broncos a year later and retired in 1996.

In 2016, he revealed that he was suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy [CTE] the symptoms, usually seen in athletes who suffer repetitive head blows.
