Broadway actress and "Black-ish" star Jenifer Lewis wore a personalized Nike sweater with Emmys' emblem on the red carpet to support Colin Kaepernick.

His actions sparked a national controversy, with fierce criticism and supporters on both sides. President Donald Trump criticized the league for not having prevented his players from protesting before the matches.
