Jenna Folwell, a 19-year-old mother whose son was found dead in his Arizona apartment, was booked in Maricopa County suspected of first-degree murder, police said Thursday.

Police found the body of the 4-week-old boy in Folwell's apartment at around 3:30 pm Wednesday, a few hours after he learned that his son had been abducted from a local park, according to Chandler police, Arizona,.

According to a police report, the baby was found dead in a black bag.

When she was confronted by police officers about her kidnapping story, Folwell said that she had taken a bath with the baby and had fainted. When he returned, the baby was face down in the bathtub and was not breathing, the police said.

Police said Folwell admitted to putting the baby in the gym bag before going to the park and calling the police about the kidnapping.

After obtaining a search warrant for Folwell's cell phone, the police said they found a variety of searches in his web browser, ranging from the time it takes for a baby to drown, to the reasons for which parents kill their baby.

The police stated that Folwell then admitted to taking her baby to the bath and letting go of her. According to the police report, she decided to drown her son not to hear him crying.

Folwell also stated that she had taken her son out of the tub after about a minute and had been trying to give him CPR before putting him in the bag and going to the park because she felt bad, according to the police.

Police said that she had also confessed to doing research on Google before bringing her son into the bathtub.

Inspector Seth Tyler said the mother was considered the only suspect and was questioned by police Wednesday afternoon.
