At a busy Tuesday for the Patriots, the team staged trials for three players.

According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, Boston's Darkwa and Charles Sims have worked for New England with ex-patriotic receiver Brandon Tate.

Darkwa has spent his last four seasons with the Giants. In 2017, the 26-year-old rushed 171 times for 751 yards and five touchdowns.

Sims, who has spent all four seasons with the Buccaneers, had 21 runs for 95 yards in 2017, with 35 receptions and 249 yards.

Tate, selected by the Patriots in the third round of the NFL draft in 2009, has spent his last two seasons with the Bills, mainly for kick returns.

The Patriots signed on Tuesday night lead receiver Corey Coleman, receiver Bennie Fowler and running back Kenjon Barner.
