Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott launched an interception and lost a fumble Monday against the Titans, but Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones still believes he has the right candidate for the quarterback.
"I liked some of the things I saw him doing tonight," said Jones about Prescott. "The turn-over, the fumbles after our last game, the two fumbles, I'm sure we'd all be back. Tonight's match did not affect my future at Dak Prescott. Not this evening."
Prescott has only launched four steals in 16 games during his rookie year in 2016, but he has launched 13 interceptions in 2017 and already has three in 2018. Whatever, Jones thinks that Prescott is moving in the right direction.
"I saw him do not return it. And then we've seen it recently turn around, "Jones said. "Once you see them doing the turnover, you know that they can return it. When you see them playing with good ball security, you know that they can play that way. There is something to do with the loss of talent or, in some cases, the length of their game. So, no matter what changes Jones could make if his 3 to 5-year-old team did not turn things around, the quarterback of the franchise would go nowhere.
