The Walking Dead will close the first half of season nine tonight and will finally present The Whisperers at the AMC show.
The terrifying group has been teased for weeks – almost years – and it looks like tonight is the moment they will enter the world.
Little is known about the new bad guys, aside from the fact that they hide in plain sight using the walker's skin as a disguise.
They were teased a few weeks ago at The Walking Dead when Eugene (played by Josh McDermitt) and Rosita (Christian Serratos) met walkers who seemed to be talking to each other.
However, a teaser of tonight's episode suggests that the drama of the incoming rival group will intensify.
And now, the star of Jesus, Tom Payne, has suggested that Evolution is one of the most "scary" episodes of all time.
He shared the trailer to his 885,000 subscribers on Instagram, adding, "It's coming.
"The scariest episode of The Walking Dead you've ever seen.
"What's waiting for us? This Sunday, you'll know it. It's scary and awesome. It's awesome creepy."
But will Jesus come out alive this weekend?
It is almost certain that someone will perish in the mid-season finale, creating a huge drama for future episodes that should be aired around February 2019.
Earlier in the week, Angela Kang, the patron of Walking Dead, suggested that Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) return to the show as a villain.
Negan has been in jail since Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) allowed him to live after his capture.
However, he was largely absent for most of the season nine.
And according to Angela, this was necessary to advance the story of the villain.
But fortunately, he will be back very important when returning from season 9 next year.
She told CinemaBlend: ""Negan and his legacy weigh heavily on our characters.
"But I wanted to tell this story through what others are doing.
"And I think in many ways, having some key moments with him this season, those moments are very memorable."
She continued, "Negan definitely has his moment of glory, and he has more to come."
The new Walking Dead season continues tonight on AMC and tonight at 9 pm Monday on FOX in the UK. Seasons 1-8 are available in streaming on NOW TV.
