JetBlue Airways said Tuesday night that one of its flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York experienced a radio problem that had an impact on the communications capability of the company. 39; crew. The airline also said that a false alarm had been sent to the JFK air traffic control tower.
"While the communication was re-established via alternative channels, the authorities reacted out of caution," said JetBlue. "The plane was cleared and went back to the inspection door."
The Federal Aviation Administration said the plane, an Airbus A320, experienced the problem by taxing takeoff around 8pm. AND. It was bound for Los Angeles.
The New York Port Authority told CBS News that "the plane had been inspected and cleared without any threat to safety."
