Jim Carrey suggests that Trump caught Ted Cruz "By the P *** y"

Actor Jim Carrey excised Ted Cruz, a Republican senator from Texas, for his reelection, in a hard-hitting tweet sent the day before polling day.

Carrey – who had previously voiced support for Cruz's rival Democrat Beto O'Rourke in a political cartoon inspired by a horror film – suggested that President Donald Trump had seized the senator "by the cat".

Of course, the replica was referring to the infamous "Access Hollywood" cassette, in which Trump had heard from host Billy Bush that "as a star", the women "let you do" do not. No matter what.

The resignation of the actor had been made in response to a tweet posted by Cruz on Monday morning in which the Senator had called Carrey and his artwork depicting Cruz as a vampire disintegrating in the sun.

"Jim Carrey made a mistake here: the vampires are dead and everyone knows the Democratic vote," the senator wrote.

Cruz was checked for collaborating with Trump in the run-up to Tuesday's midterm elections.

The two men had been fierce rivals as GOP candidates in the 2016 presidential campaign. Trump, who dubbed "Lyin 'Ted," repeatedly insulted the senator and, at one point, repeated a baseless theory of the plot associating Cruz's father with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Trump also retweeted an unflattering photo of Cruz's wife and threatened to "cheer him up" (though he was never clear what he was referring to).

Recent polls show that Cruz is leading the Senate race against O'Rourke – although his victory is by no means assured. O'Rourke, who represents the 16th congressional district of Texas since 2013, has seen a wave of support in the state. Recent polls show that he is lagging behind his GOP opponent by 6 percentage points.
