He needed it like a kick in the head.
Comedian Jim Gaffigan, who jokes about his five children who torment him and his wife Jeannie, received new documents after his daughter injured a Queens man with a football.
James Kent was working on a television commercial starring Gaffigan in 2016 when he was "severely" injured by 11-year-old Marre Gaffigan of Gaffigan.
He accused the lunatic's daughter of throwing a bullet that had nailed him to the head while shooting an advertisement for Chrysler Pacifica in Montclair, New Jersey.
The kick left him injured and unable to work, Kent alleges in a lawsuit filed at the Queens Supreme Court on Sept. 17.
Neither Gaffigan nor director Martin Granger, who has led many commercial clients, was monitoring Marre, accusing Kent in his complaint, which quotes both the men and the production company Moxie Pictures.
He is asking for unspecified damages.
Just another reason for Gaffigan to complain about having children.
"Raising children can be a thankless job with ridiculous hours, but at least the salary is zero," he joked.
During filming, Gaffigan set it up to launch the van before Granger's camera.
"These are hands," he says as the point opens, showing people juggling with sports equipment as they struggle to get in the vehicle.
"You do not have to open the sliding doors or the tailgate of the all-new Chrysler Pacifica. You might as well cut your hands. I mean, I would not do it, but …
A neighbor said that Kent was already injured when he was hit by the ball and that he's been suffering since. Kent did not return a message.
Gaffigan, Granger and Moxie did not respond to requests for comment.
