Jimbo Fisher became physical with one of his players

Jimbo Fisher was frustrated by linebacker Tyrel Dodson in Texas A & M's win over Arkansas. He channeled this frustration physically, grabbing Dodson 's face mask and snapping it up.

Why? Here is Fisher explaining his motivation:

"(He was) getting into an interaction there. (Doson and a player from Arkansas) were arguing, arguing. I do not need this guy pushing, bump, fight in a game. Losing one of our best players in defense and our team leader is great. Learn to put your pride in the background and go ahead. There is no reason to go there, to push and push and do nonsense there when you're locked in a game. He plays very well. He is a great player for us. …

"In a game like this, lose (# 25), I just wanted to make a point. I do not want you to go to war. Play the game, close your mouth, go home. And he is a great player. Emotions enter football. It's an emotional game. But you have to play smart. You have to play to win. Dodson is one of our team leaders. He's a guy we rely on for everything.

Fisher's actions will certainly generate a healthy debate. This type of instruction is received differently in 2018 compared to ten years ago. It is a useful reflection exercise, however, to imagine how such an incident could unfold if it were the fact that the player initiates a physical contact.
