CAMDEN, N.J. – Sixers general manager Elton Brand has not finished processing.
At the introductory press conference of his new star, Jimmy Butler, and center Justin Patton on Tuesday, Brand said unsurprisingly that he was considering filling the void in the Sixers' lineup. But he is not going to rush to do another business.

The brand may have referred to reports linking the Sixers to Kyle Korver. Although Furkan Korkmaz has impressed in the last two games of the Sixers, with consecutive career records and a combined total of 28 points against 9 for 17 shots, Korver is a confirmed shooter. In his 15 seasons and more, Korver is a three-point shooter at 43.1%, and he's got the league's best percentage four times. Shoot is a clear need for the Sixers: the team lost 11.3 attempts to score three points per game in Robert Covington and Dario Saric. Butler is a long-range capable shooter (35.4% over the past four seasons or so), although he acknowledged Tuesday that it was not one of his greatest strengths.
The Sixers are 22nd in the NBA with a percentage of three points to 33.7%. Part of this figure can be attributed to Saric's poor start to the season and JJ Redick's recent downfall, but Brand has no doubt about the need for another shooter, which he's Act from Korver or someone else.
