Jimmy Kimmel claimed that Kid Rock won a seat in the Senate and people believed it

In offering the clip Tuesday night, Kimmel said, "Watch as real people argue for a false election."

As usual, unsuspecting people on the street pretended to say that they "had heard about it a bit today in the morning," while others commented the false aspects of his so-called victory speech.

There were also people totally stunned by the prospect of Kid Rock as an American senator: "So he won? Wow," said one person.

Others were also bewildered by the assertion of the street reporter that he had a project to legalize crystal methamphetamine.

The video ends with a montage of people addressing the "new senator".

"Senator Joonbug Finnegan [Kid Rock’s real name according to the reporter]I do not really listen to you, but good luck as a senator, "said a woman at the end.

The real name of Rock is actually Robert James Ritchie.
