The Giudice family has just received another dose of bad news.
Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice, the husband of the star of "Real Housewives of New Jersey", Teresa Giudice, will be deported to his native Italy after his release after serving a 41-month prison sentence in 2019, reported TMZ. An executive bureau spokesman for immigration confirmed the decision at the New York Daily News.
"By law, I find you deportable and ineligible for any type of reparation," Judge John Ellington said at a hearing held Wednesday in Pennsylvania's Immigration Court in York, according to Radar Online. . "Mr. Giudice, no matter the outcome, I wish you the best.I have decided this case in law."
Giudice was born in Saronno, Italy, but moved to New Jersey with his family while he was not yet an American. The reality TV personality and his legal team have 30 days to appeal the decision.
The Giudices were both sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to multiple offenses, including a conspiracy to commit mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud. Teresa served 11 months and was released in December 2015 – her homecoming was documented in the reality show Bravo – and has since published a book on her time behind bars.
The couple shares the girls Gia, 17, Gabriella, 14, Milania, 12, and Audriana, 9.
In the United States, neither Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, nor the representatives of the Giudices immediately responded to HuffPost's requests for comment.
Although it is unclear whether the family will join Giudice upon her release, Teresa has previously stated that she "would not mind that" to move with her husband.
"I mean, Italy is a beautiful place to live," she said at the last meeting of the Bravo series. "It would not bother me, you know, I'm just saying. Listen, no matter what God has planned for me, that's what's going to happen. I will kiss him as best as I can. "
Season 9 of Real Housewives of New Jersey will be presented on November 7th.
