Joe Perry was reportedly taken to the hospital after making a surprise appearance on the stage at Billy Joel's concert at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
According to TMZ, Perry collapsed in his locker room after Aerosmith's guitarist played "Walk This Way" with Joel and his band. Paramedics went to Perry's for 40 minutes in the rocker's locker room, including "inserting a tracheal tube into the throat to clear the airway" – before Perry was lying out of the meeting place and drove emergency at a New York hospital. The deadline also indicated that Perry had been hospitalized after the performance.
A representative from Perry did not respond to Rolling stoneRequest for comment. TMZ added that Perry's current state is unknown. However, rock radio host Eddie Trunk tweeted that "I hear [Perry’s] is doing well today. "

In June 2016, Perry lost consciousness and collapsed behind the scenes at a Hollywood Vampire concert in Coney Island, New York State. The guitarist was transported to a hospital in a stable state. Although dehydration and burnout were blamed on the Coney Island collapse, Steven Tyler expressed concerns about his group mate, Aerosmith, following the incident.
"It's starting to scare me a bit," Tyler said. "I know my brother. He is about the only other man as passionate about his art as I am. He always asks me to do three, four [Aerosmith] shows in a row, and I can not. I will blow my voice. I know how to maintain my career, my health and Joe's passion. I do not think he knows how to do it. I think he is on the ground and that someone overbooked him.
Perry is scheduled to begin a solo trek beginning Nov. 30. The Aerosmith residence in Las Vegas will follow in April 2019.
