PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Joel Embiid scored 16 of his 42 points in the fourth quarter to help the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Charlotte Hornets 133-132 in overtime on Friday night.

The Hornets resisted a deficit of 21 points and were led by five, with a regulation of 1:18 before the Sixers forced overtime.

Kemba Walker scored 19 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter for the Hornets.

Embiid also had 18 rebounds and scored three goals in 34.4 seconds. The Hornets committed a timer violation with the passing of time in regulation, thus missing an opportunity.

Ben Simmons had 22 points, 13 assists and eight rebounds for the 76ers.

PACERS 110, HEAT 102

MIAMI (AP) – Victor Oladipo had 22 points and 10 assists, Bojan Bogdanovic gave Indiana the advantage of staying at 3 points with just under a minute and the Pacers beat Miami.

Domantas Sabonis and Darren Collison each scored 17 points, and Bogdanovic had 16 points to help the Pacers make a two-game slide. The Pacers dominated Miami 16-2 in the final, 3:31.

Kelly Olynyk led the Heat with 20 points but missed most of the fourth quarter due to injury. The Heat were again deprived of Dwyane Wade, excused, while his wife and he, Gabrielle Union-Wade, continue to celebrate the birth of their daughter earlier in the week.

JAZZ 123, CELTICS 115

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) – Joe Ingles tied his career record with 27 points and seven assists to help Utah beat Boston when Gordon Hayward returned to Utah.

Hayward has 13 points and seven assists in his first match in Utah since leaving the free agent Jazz after the 2016-17 season. He fractured his left ankle last season in the opening match.

Donovan Mitchell added 21 points for Utah, Jae Crowder had 20 points and Rudy Gobert finished with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Terry Rozier scored 22 points for Boston and Jayson Tatum had 21 points.

MAGIC 117, WIZARDS 108

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) – Nikola Vucevic earned 21 points and 14 rebounds and D.J. Augustin created big games in the last two minutes to help Orlando beat Washington.

Augustin had six points, an assist and a steal after Washington reduced the deficit by 25 points to 106-105 at 2:30. Aaron Gordon added 20 points for Orlando, Evan Fournier and rookie Mo Bamba each have 15, and Augustin 11.

Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 27 points. Washington fell to 2-9.

PISTONS 124, HAWKS 109

ATLANTA (AP) – Andre Drummond had 23 points and 11 rebounds, Stanley Johnson added 22 points, the highest of the season, and Detroit beat Atlanta.

In a match decided in the first quarter, the Pistons were so dominant that they scored 74 points and led by 23 at halftime with Blake Griffin, the fifth scorer in the NBA, 0 for 2 on the field. The double-double of Drummond has been the 300th of his career, the highest number in the league since his 2012-13 rookie season. Jeremy Lin had 19 points for Atlanta.

NETS 112, NUGGETS 110

DENVER (AP) – Caris LeVert scored 0.3 seconds and Brooklyn scored the last six points to beat Denver.

The Nets defeated Nikola Jokic of Denver in a rebound night to win their third straight game. Jokic had 37 points, a high in the season, and tied his career best with 21 rebounds.

D'Angelo Russell led the Nets with 23 points.
