The Kennedy family mourns the loss of Christopher Lawford.
The Lawford representative confirmed the sad news of his death at ET on Wednesday. In addition to being known for his famous family – Lawford was the son of the late John Kennedy's sister, Patricia Kennedy, and actor Peter Lawford – Lawford has starred in several hit television series, including including Frasier, General Hospital and All my children. His film roles included THerminator 3: Rise of the Machines and Thirteen Days, interestingly, introduced his famous uncles, John and Robert Kennedy, as characters.
Lawford was 63 years old.
According to Lawford's cousin, Patrick J. Kennedy, the actor died of a heart attack.

Kerry Kennedy, another cousin of Lawford, also tweeted on Wednesday about the loss of her family.

according to TMZLawford had a medical emergency in a yoga studio Tuesday night and died later. The paper quotes sources saying that his death appears to come from "natural causes".
In addition to being an actor, Lawford has published a New York Times successful memories, Withdrawal Symptoms: Snapshot Memory and Redemptionin 2005, which detailed both his life of Kennedy and his fight against drug addiction in the 70s and 80s. In 2009 he released Voices of the first lines of dependence and recovery, with essays by Tom Arnold, Alec Baldwin, Jamie Curtis Lee, Richard Dreyfuss, Anthony Hopkins and more.
In 2015, Lawford spoke frankly to Parade magazine on the fight against addiction.
"I am the product of a perfect addictive storm," he said. "We had a completely different culture in 1969 when I started using drugs, experimentation, permissiveness and, quite frankly, ignorance of this disease. [the Kennedy] the family survived what we lived is a miracle. [The trauma] erased any security I thought I had and my ability to relate to anyone. That's what made me addicted. "

Lawford is survived by his wife, Mercedes Miller, and his three children from his first marriage to Jeannie Olsson.
