Jon Cryer was chosen as Lex Luthor in CW's "Supergirl".
This decision marks a return to television series for Cryer, who won two Primetime Emmy Awards for his work in the long comedy CBS "Two and a Half Men".
Cryer will return to Warner Bros.'s drama of superheroes. Television, Luthor, the classic villain of comics, TV shows and Superman movies. He will make his first appearance in "Supergirl" during the 15th episode of the current season and the fourth season of the series.
The actor played Lenny Luthor, Gene Hackman's nephew of Lex, in the 1987 feature film "Superman IV: In Search of Peace."
