Jon Gosselin goes to the Christmas tree with his son Collin during another rare visit

Jon Gosselin embarks on the holiday spirit with his children.

The former reality TV star went to Instagram on Sunday to share a smiling snapshot of him with his 14-year-old son Collin and his 14-year-old daughter Hannah, who were looking for a Christmas conifer near a tree. Teenagers are two of the sextuplets of Jon and his ex-wife Kate Gosselin.

"Found our tree", 41-year-old Jon has subtitled the pretty picture taken at Reinhart's Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania. "Let the holidays begin !!!!"

Jon's girlfriend Colleen Conrad and her teenage children Jordan and Jesse joined the trio.

Aside from Collin and Hannah, none of Jon's other six children with his ex-wife seemed to go shopping in the trees for this occasion.

Jon has spent a lot of time with Collin since the beginning of the month, when his son came home for his first visit in three years. The teenager would have been enrolled in a school program for children with special needs, away from home.

The proud dad has shared a number of photos of himself with Collin, as well as Hannah, over the last few weeks, and he seems sincerely excited to spend quality time with them.

A source close to Jon told ET at the beginning of the month that "Colin is doing very well".

"It took a while to get here, but everything is fine," said the source. "Jon just wants to find his family and live his life."
