Former UFC lightweight champion, Jon Jones, who will soon be reinstated from a doping suspension, does not plan to schedule a third fight with Daniel Cormier.

In an article published Thursday night, Jones told ESPN's Ariel Helwani that Cormier was not on his radar. Jones obtained a unanimous decision against Cormier on January 3, 2015, then knocked out Cormier on July 29, 2017, for the latter fight to be declared outright when Jones failed a drug test.

"I already have all the balls when it's Daniel Cormier," Jones told Helwani. "I beat him twice. This game has never been personal. What is personal to me is to look for greatness and not individuals. So, in the case of Daniel Cormier and myself, he needs to fight once more, he never wants to be considered one of the greatest of all time. I do not need to fight him again to be considered one of the best players of all time. I still have many years to prove it.

Cormier, the current UFC light heavyweight champion, said Wednesday at TMZ that he wanted to fight Brock Lesnar for the heavyweight title, and then for the light heavyweight title.

"I want to fight Jones at 205 pounds, because that's where he beat me," Cormier told TMZ. "He beat me to 205. I want to beat him where he beat me.

"I think Jon and I are on the same wavelength, and we're never on the same wavelength, we do not agree on anything. It will always be intense and we both want to beat at 205. "

Jones (22-1, a draw) is expected to be reinstated on October 28 after a 15-month suspension imposed by the US Anti-Doping Agency. It was discovered that his system had metabolites of an anabolic steroid on the eve of his fight against Cormier at UFC 214.

As part of USADA's decision, Jones, of Rochester, New York, was also sentenced to three months of collective work and a $ 205,000 fine to recover his combat license.

UFC President Dana White recently told ESPN that he was aiming to match Jones and Alexander Gustafsson on Dec. 29 at UFC 232 in Las Vegas.

Since last year's fight against Jones, Cormier (21-1, a draw), based in San Jose, CA, defeated Volkan Oezdemir by knockout in January and eliminated Stipe Miocic in July.
