Josh Allen out of the game after an elbow injury

Buffalo Bills rookie quarterback Josh Allen had a lot of hits on Sunday and finally quit the game with a wry nudge.

That meant that Nathan Peterman had come in and had once again launched heartbreaking interceptions that led to the 20-13 defeat of the Bills.

Allen came out late in the third quarter. He appeared to get hurt when he was hit by defenders Whitney Mercilus and Jadeveon Clowney of the Houston Texans on either side. It seems that Mercilus's helmet hit Allen in the right elbow.

Allen stayed inside, launched incomplete at the next play and was visibly in pain. He went down, the coaches came out and he came out of the game.

Peterman arrived and, early in the fourth quarter, gave the Bills a lead over a touchdown pass to Zay Jones. But his terrible choice of the last six minutes allowed the Texans to get out of the deal.

Nathan Peterman launches two brutal interceptions

After the Bills defense was held on the goal line in the last two minutes (the Texans were incredibly disappointed to play near the goal line this season). Houston arranged for a placement and the match was tied. Peterman had a chance to go win the game. But he won for the Texans.

Peterman looked left, cornerback Johnathan Joseph broke the pass and was lucky enough to pick six to give the Texans the advantage. Then, the affected Bills, Peterman launched another interception to Kareem Jackson to seal the loss.

Peterman threw 12 passes and two were removed. Before Sunday, he had seven steals on 67 career passes.

Josh Allen shot after elbow injury

When Allen had to introduce himself, Bills coach Sean McDermott was screaming after the officials while he was coming to see Allen. He may be unhappy that Mercilus's coup against Allen was after publishing a pass to Kelvin Benjamin.

Allen was on the side and tried to throw, but apparently, he was still suffering. When the coaches touched his right elbow, he obviously suffered and Peterman stayed in the game.

The bills do not want to risk Allen's health

Allen has been punished by a mediocre line of bills, and that's not what the Bills want to see. Allen was the eighth pick in the repechage and Buffalo did not want to put him in the next row, but Peterman failed miserably and the Bills made the move after the start of the season.

It did not seem like Allen's injury was too serious, as he was sidelined and encouraged his teammates. But the Bills do not want to risk a more serious injury for their young franchise quarterback.

However, this care meant that Peterman had to play, which ended up costing the Bills a lot.
