Former Deerhunter bassist, Josh Fauver, is reported to have died. "Times are very difficult now," wrote the group on a post on Instagram with a photo of Fauver. A friend of Fauver wrote in another post: "A large part of me died with this man when I heard of his death – I will be destroyed forever. RIP, my dear friend, Josh Fauver, you were the most beautiful of all.
Fauver joined Deerhunter in 2004 after the death of his first bass player, Justin Bosworth. He played on their eponymous debut this year, cryptograms and the Fluorescent Gray The EP in 2007, Odd time and Microcastle in 2008, the Exchange of rainwater cassettes EP in 2009, and Halcyon Digest in 2010. Fauver left the group amicably in 2012 before starting the registration. Monomania.
