In consecutive weeks, the Redskins have hijacked two of the top-ranked NFL runners to laughable totals.
On Sunday, the Redskins limited Ezekiel Elliott to just 33 yards rushing. Zeke's second half was pretty good compared to the first half, where he only had 13 yards. In Week 6, the Redskins limited Christian McCaffrey to just 20 yards.
The fantastic owners of Elliott and McCaffrey probably curse the Washington defense, but for Redskins fans it's an exciting time. The Burgundian and Golden defense has generated five turnovers in its last two games, both victories, and kept the attack at 17 points in each game.
Many players play well, but much of the defensive success starts at the front. And that means Daron Payne and Jonathan Allen. A first-round pick from the University of Alabama in consecutive drafts, the two defensive tackles are starting to really be a force at the center of Greg Manusky's defense.
"These guys are more compact, like some army tanks," cornerback Josh Norman told Payne and Allen.
"I like it, I like to have tackles that can get people to move and get them moving."
Until now, the Redskins' defense against the race is nothing like the same group as last season. The injuries betrayed the solid defensive start of the Redskins last year and the ranking of the units was acclaimed. The Redskins finished with the worst defense of the NFL.
It rocked and it showed the victory against Dallas.

Well, for two weeks in a row, Allen could have fun. Even though he does not seem to enjoy it too much.
Cowboys coach Jason Garrett certainly did not seem to enjoy dealing with Payne or Allen.
"Obviously, they did a good job defending our race," said Garrett. "We tried to attack in different ways and they defended it well."
