JUCO cornerback Elijah Blades travels to Oregon

The Ducks have landed an engagement of one of the best JuCo hopes of the 2019 category. Yuma (Ariz.) Defensive Back of Arizona West Elijah Blades was verbally engaged in Oregon on Wednesday afternoon. The JuCo prospect will have three years to play two seasons.

After receiving two Crystal Ball selections from Greg Biggins, a national scouting expert for 247 sports, and Duck Territory expert Kevin Wade in mid-June, the Ducks collected ten total screenings for Blades.

The JuCo prospect officially visited Oregon in early June during his first official visit. Blades followed his visit to Oregon with a trip to Knoxville the following weekend. The corner half has not taken any other tours since its trip to Tennessee.

A high school hope in the class of 2017, Blades enrolled in Arizona Western after originally signing with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The main recruiter of Blades in Nebraska was Donte Williams, who is now the coach of the cornerbacks in Oregon.

After enrolling in Arizona Western Blades spoke to 247Sports about his high school recruiting and his relationship with Donte Williams.
