Julie Chen will be leaving her position as co-host of CBS's "The Talk" day series, following the forced resignation of her husband Leslie Moonves as chief executive officer of CBS Corporation, according to published reports.

Chen is expected to sign the show with a pre-recorded message on Tuesday, CNN reported.

A CBS representative declined to comment on Chen's departure reports published by CNN and the New York Post.

The sexual abuse scandal that enveloped Moonves left Chen in a delicate position in his role as co-host of "Talk". The facilitators of the daytime roundtable series often talk about their personal lives as part of the series.

Moonves was expelled on September 9 in the middle of a cascade of allegations of sexual assault several decades ago. Chen was on leave from "The Talk" since September 10th.

Chen is also the host of CBS Big Brother summer reality TV series. According to a source close to the situation, no change in the status of Chen is expected on the series. Thursday's edition of "Big Brother" hit the headlines by signing the episode "Julie Chen Moonves", a departure from her usual signature under the name "Julie Chen".

Chen and Moonves have been married since the end of 2004. CNN said Chen's goal was to help Moonves release his name and take care of their young son, Charlie.
