Junior Seau's family reached an agreement with the NFL after the suicide of the Pro Football Hall of Famer in 2012.
According to Maryclaire Dale of the Associated Press, Seau's family received an undisclosed settlement resulting from the lawsuit for wrongful death that she filed against the league.
"I'm glad it's resolved for them now so that they can continue their lives," Seau's family lawyer Steven Strauss Said Strauss. "It took a lot of time, it was frustrating, but it was settled successfully, and it is good."
Seau's family was eligible for a $ 4 million payment under the NFL's Concussion Program, but chose not to participate in this agreement to initiate a separate lawsuit.
