BOSTON – Award-winning author Pulitzer Junot Diaz speaks about allegations of sexual misconduct against him

The Boston Globe Díaz reports categorically deny the accusations of women who behaved inappropriately.

Díaz says it does not sound like "everything in my life, everything that is me."

Author Zinzi Clemmons and other writers recently shared stories about Diaz's behavior. Clemmons said that Diaz had forcibly kissed him several years ago; others cited cases where they thought they verbally abused them. Diaz said that he takes responsibility for his past actions.

Díaz retains his teaching and editing position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Boston Review as a result of separate investigations into wrongdoing. One of the major Boston Review editors said the charges lacked the "kind of severity" that animated the #MeToo movement
