WASHINGTON – Rapper Kanye West has been invited to the White House.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said West had lunch with President Donald Trump on Thursday and meet his son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Sanders said on Tuesday that he would talk about manufacturing, prison reform, preventing gang violence and reducing violence in Chicago, where West grew up.

Trump recently tweeted West's praise, which wrapped up a "Saturday Night Live" show with a "Make America Great Again" hat and spreading an unscripted message to Trump after the credits.

West is married to reality star Kim Kardashian West, who managed to convince Trump to forgive a drug addict this year and met with key collaborators on criminal justice reform.
