Puberty is tough, even if you are one of the most famous models in the world.
When Karlie Kloss achieved fame in 2008, she was just 15 years old, but told Voguethat that the designers started to reject her a few years later after her body began to grow.
"I started taking contraceptives and my body became more feminine – the hips and thighs appeared," said Kloss, now 26 years old.
After moving from a size 0 to a size 4/6 over the course of a year, she added, "I started losing jobs; I was not booked for the track; the designers stopped working with me. It was as if my world had been upset.
Although still on the front line and red carpet, Kloss now spends much of his time teaching young women to code through his Kode with Klossy program.
"I always measured myself at Gisele – for me it was the pinnacle of modeling success – and it was not productive," Kloss said. "That's when I made a breakthrough: I realized it was time for me to do, to embrace the things that make me what I am.
