Kate Hudson is retiring for a good cause.

More than a month after hosting a girl with Danny Fujikawa, the Hollywood actress sits with Michael Kors at a special event in Los Angeles.

Wearing a button-down t-shirt dress and neutral-colored heels, Kate went to the UCLA campus where she celebrated her new appointment as ambassador for the UN World Food Program.

"As a mother, I understand the vital importance that food and nutrition play in the life of a child," said Kate in a previous statement. "The work of the World Food Program goes far beyond just feeding people, strengthening families, rebuilding communities, and ensuring everyone has access to the food they need. they need to survive, but also to prosper. "

She continued, "After seeing their work first-hand, I'm sure if we can involve more people in this movement, we can really get closer to a world with Zero Hunger."

Over the last three years, Kate has also supported the World Food Program as an ambassador for Michael Kors' Watch Hunger Stop initiative.

Aside from her philanthropic efforts, Kate loves life with her little girl named Rani Rose. Last month, a shared source with E! News that his days have been filled with "a lot of food, rot and changes".

And guess what? She would not have it otherwise with her longtime boyfriend.
