Hudson's first professional activity as a new mother also comes less than a week after being appointed a goodwill ambassador for the UN World Food Program.

The Rome-based humanitarian organization provides food assistance to more than 90 million people in more than 80 countries.

"As a mother, I understand the vital importance of food and nutrition in a child's life," Hudson said.

"The work of the World Food Program goes far beyond simply feeding the population. It's about strengthening families, rebuilding communities, and ensuring everyone has access to the food they need to survive, but also to thrive.

This is not the first partnership between Hudson and the World Food Program. In 2015, she joined Kors' Watch Hunger Stop campaign.
