Kate Middleton had a Cinderella moment today at Buckingham Palace, dressed in a romantic dress and tantalizing trinkets.
In the company of her husband, Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge met King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands during a state visit and a banquet.
The mother of three was wearing Alexander McQueen's ice-blue fringed long dress that hid his shoes, but there was plenty to watch. Middleton sparkled with diamonds and pearls, especially the Lover's Knot tiara and Queen Alexandra's wedding necklace. Princess Diana, the late mother of Prince William, was also fond of the diadem.
Sarah Burton's design marks a subtle departure from Middleton's usual fashion. The wedding of Princess Eugenie, October 12, may have been a precursor for the duchess who has experimented with her style. She is seen in a dramatic bright pink dress with Prada plum pumps.
See how Kate Middleton's style evolved before being a duchess.
