The 39-year-old could not erase her smile as she left a hotel with actor Django Unchained, who is currently shooting the new Just Mercy movie in Atlanta.

He was seen helping the Dawson's Creek actress with his luggage before returning to New York after his brief visit.

According to reports, the secret couple began in 2013, one year after the end of his divorce with Tom Cruise.

But they are desperate to keep the details of their relationship completely private – only to be photographed together a few times in the five years they have been together.

A source told People earlier: "Katie and Jamie are always careful not to be photographed together.

"Everyone knows they go out together, but they still want to stay private."

It was recently claimed that the pair had split, but Katie herself formally touched on the reports – and their romance – for the first time.

The representative of the man's mother described the story as "100% false".

She was previously married to actor Tom Mission, but they divorced in 2012 after a five-year marriage.

It was widely reported that he had a sealed contract – which meant that she was not able to go out with anyone for five years after their separation and she was not able to discuss of their marriage.
