Katie Holmes sparked engagement rumors Wednesday after leaving the house with a diamond ring in her left hand.
The 39-year-old actress was all smiles as she was photographed taking a break from filming in New Orleans and an accessory stood out: a big diamond ring on her left finger.
A representative of the actress told PEOPLE that the ring was not an engagement ring.
"Katie is not engaged to anyone other than her fictional fiancé, played by Jerry O'Connell," said her representative.
