A driver who claims to have been attacked Friday by comedian Katt Williams at the Portland International Airport is suing the artist for $ 76,000.

Wali Kanani accuses Williams of assault, psychological assault and beatings and intentional emotional distress in the lawsuit filed Monday in the Multnomah County Court of First Instance. Williams, 47, is still being held Monday night at the Multnomah County Detention Center for suspicion of fourth-degree aggression.

The comedian, whose real name is Micah S. Williams, pleaded not guilty to the allegation earlier on Monday. Police said that he also had a warrant waiting in Georgia.

During the impeachment of Williams, a man who introduced himself as the actor's friend attended the hearing with a German Shepherd wearing a wrist strap carrying the "Dog service" inscription. He refused to say if the dog belonged to Williams.

Kanani said in the lawsuit that his meeting with Williams had left him with a broken tooth, a cut and a swollen face and tinnitus in his ear that had still sounded the ringtone when the complaint had been filed.

Portland lawyer Stacey Reding, who is listed as Williams' lawyer in the criminal case, did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Monday.

According to a press release from the event, the show started at 8 pm. Friday in the center of Moda. Kanani says Williams has arrived at Atlantic Aviation, which runs the services of a private plane at the airport an hour later than planned.

Kanani, 38, said in a lawsuit that when he had told Williams that he was not comfortable with the dog sitting in front and on had told him that the animal had to go up the back, Williams had called him "guilty" and "white trash" and then punched him in the face.

According to the complaint, Williams and his dog sued Kanani as the driver rushed to the airport terminal. Kanani arrived first and locked the glass door away from him, according to the court documents.

"(Williams) stood on the other side and threw (Kanani) menacing and threatening looks for several minutes before leaving in another car that had arrived to take (Williams) and his colleagues," said the trial . Kanani called the 911 and was taken to Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center in Tualatin.

Williams was arrested in Portland on Saturday morning, police said.

In the lawsuit, Kanani said he was entitled to damages for "Williams' unacceptable actions and his history of criminal behavior."

Williams' criminal background includes a April 2017 conviction to three years of probation and one year of anger management in California after unabashedly pleading theft for participating in the arrest of a camera by a photographer three years ago. He was also sentenced to five years of probation in Georgia in December 2016 after pleading against any assault and battery charges for his role in the beating of his security guard with a baseball bat. At that time, a judge had ordered him to perform community service, return the weapons seized to his home and avoid the bodyguard.
