Although Kazakhstan and Russia are closely cooperating in the space sector and launch their two satellites, KazSaySat and KazistiSat, Kazakhstan has opted for a Russian rocket. Preference is given to the American rocket Falcon 9 SpaceX.

It is reported Total.kz.

The launch of Kazakhstan's satellites is scheduled for 19 November.

As spokesman for the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry, Aset Nurkenov said, the launch will take place at a US military base in Vandenberg, California, not the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

He also pointed out that this decision was made "solely by financial considerations". The Falcon 9 will cost less, just for the aerospace industry.

It is possible that this solution has another reason – the unreliability of Russian rockets.

What is Falcon 9? This is a rocket, belonging to the Falcon class. And 9 in the title refers to the number of engines in the rocket. The Falcon 9 was launched for the first time on June 4, 2010 and has since undergone two substantial changes.

We will recall, on October 11, that a Soyuz rocket with two cosmonauts on board crashed at the start. The two astronauts alive, they made an emergency landing in Kazakhstan. After the launch of the missile, scheduled for November 16.
